Objective of the project: Browar Spółdzielczy was created in 2014 in Puck, Poland. Through the ages, the town was known for its savoury beer produced according to the 14th century recipe. Today, Browar Spółdzielczy is the only brewery in Puck and the only cooperative brewery in Poland. It operates as part of Spółdzielnia Socjalna Dalba (Social Cooperative Dalba) and employs people with mental disabilities and illness. On one hand this is a huge value – also in the company storytelling, and on the other hand an advantage on the mature markets where cooperation with regards to the social dysfunctions is highly appreciated and performed as part of the social policies. For the distribution and preparation of the prospects for our products, knowing the taste and preferences of our customers in the given market was and still is important. When managing the enterprise that is our brewery, we have already gone on study trips and visited countless times local breweries on the indicated markets as well as cooperated with breweries in England and Bornholm. Taking into account the cooperation up till this point, it was more a research on the prospects and a way of upskilling about the brewing than looking for the distribution partners. The majority of our revenue is generated from the sale of beer on the Polish market. All activities aiming at acquiring customers abroad wouldn’t be possible without external financial support.

We started our scouting in Mexico by meeting with the local community and a tasting of the Browar Spółdzielczy’s beer in Cancun organized in cooperation with Cerveza Akumal brewery. In the following days we also met with the representatives of the breweries: Casa Cervecera Pescadores which is a brewery and a beer wholesaler at the same time.
To both breweries we offered our ice beers that meet the requirements of long sea transport, as well as our standard beer which can be pasteurized and also delivered by sea, extending their use-by dates to 12 months.

The second promotional event aimed at familiarizing the local community with our beers and it took place in Tiny Bastards brewery in Guadalajara. This brewery specializes in beers aged in barrels and it is situated in the vicinity of vineyards. We managed to receive a contact to a vineyard and the aging barrels supplier that have never been used in Poland before.

As a result, we extended our knowledge of technological processes which are facilitating the manufacturing and are not in use on our local brewing market. As a result of our visit, the representatives of Acumal and Tiny Bastards decided to visit Poland to learn about the whole offer of our products. We also prepared a shipment of our beers for testing on the Mexican market and to check the demand for the Polish craft beer.
The results of our test will allow us to make a decision regarding a regular export-import cooperation.

We started our New Zealand scouting by a meeting with the local community and an organized tasting of the Browar Spółdzielczy’s beer in Mount Maunganui where the Mount Brewing brewery is situated who invited us to New Zealand. We also brewed together beer in traditional Polish style – Grodziskie. We managed to invite to cooperate with us the main producer of the Polish hop – PolishHops who sponsored the hop used for brewing.
The beer was made of 100% Polish ingredients delivered from Poland.
In the following days we met with Funk Estate brewery which is a cooperative brewery and a beer wholesaler at the same time. To both breweries we offered our ice beers that meet the requirements of long sea transport, as well as our standard beer which can be pasteurized and also delivered by sea, extending their use-by dates to 12 months.

In the next days, the second promotional event took place which aimed at familiarizing the local community with our beer and brewing beer together.
This time the result of our cooperation was Hazy Pale Ale which, as a style, conquers markets around the world. It was prepared with New Zealand hops.

At the end of our visit we managed to meet the representatives of two more breweries: Steam Brewing Company and 8 WIRED BREWING with whom not only we organized the tasting of our beers, but we also observed their technological processes which improve the manufacturing process and are not present in our local brewing market.

As a result of our visit, the representatives of Mount Brewing C.O decided to visit Poland to learn about the whole offer of our products. We also prepared a shipment of our beers for testing on the Mexican market and to check the demand for the Polish craft beer. The results of our test will allow us to make a decision regarding a regular export-import cooperation.

INDONEZJA 2021

Wylot z Warszawy nastąpił 10 listopada 2021 do Ngurah Rai International Airport w Indonezji.

19 listopada nastąpił wylot z Ngurah Rai International Airport w Indonezji, do Warszawy. Przylot do Warszawy 21 listopada. Następnie powrót do Gdańska.
